(Intro)
(Verse 1)
To be a dandelion in the sun,
a yellow bloom where the wild bees come,
soft little wings in the summer breeze,
dusting gold through trembling leaves.
Roots in the earth but reaching high,
a fleeting glow that still defies,
the quiet field, the gentle tide—
so full of life, but soft inside.
(Pre-Chorus)
I watched them fall, one by one,
golden heads in brazen hands, undone—
(Chorus)
We were never yours to take,
never yours to bruise or break,
you can’t control the wild that grows,
even buried deep below.
We are more than what you’ve done,
we are more than what we’ve lost,
like a dandelion in the wind—
we rise, no matter what the cost.
(Verse 2)
I saw my sisters pulled away,
their petals torn, their light betrayed,
beauty claimed in hungry hands,
ripped up from their thriving lands.
We felt it too—that careless touch,
and silence… sold for nothing much,
our voices meek, our bodies still,
crushed beneath another’s will.
(Pre-Chorus)
But some of us stayed, learned to stand,
with shaking roots in broken lands—
(Chorus)
We were never yours to take,
never yours to bruise or break,
you can’t control the wild that grows,
even buried deep below.
We are more than what you’ve done,
we are more than what we’ve lost,
like a dandelion in the wind—
we rise, no matter what the cost.
(Bridge)
Silver strands and heads held high,
we scatter pieces to the sky,
every seed a voice set free,
carrying what we couldn’t be.
You thought you took our fight away—
but we won’t bend… we won’t obey.
(Final Chorus)
We were never yours to take,
never yours to bruise or break,
we decide what we become,
we are more than what you’ve done.
Watch us bloom from every scar,
drifting wide and traveling far—
like a dandelion set free,
we become infinity.
(Outro)
They find their soil…
they bloom afar…
in unseen fields—
we are the stars.
